Jessica Dunnavant - Flute

     Dr. Jessica Dunnavant is Adjunct Artist/Teacher of Flute at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, where she teaches pre-college flute lessons. She also teaches flute in the Tullahoma City Schools, for Father Ryan High School and for Stewarts Creek middle and high schools, along with Rocky Fork Middle School. She belongs to the Jackson Symphony in west Tennessee and to Music City Baroque, and she holds degrees in flute performance from MTSU, Florida State University, and the University of Maryland.

 


Wilson Sharpe - oboe, bassoon, saxophone

      Wilson Sharpe holds a B.S. from The University of Tennessee,  did post graduate work at Ohio State (reed making with Chris Weait), The University of Tennessee, TSU, Belmont and MTSU.  He taught 32 years in public and private schools in Tennessee and Georgia, and adjunct Instructor in Music at Maryville College, Knoxville College, Austin Peay State University, and MTSU.  Presently a member of the Murfreesboro  Symphony (bassoon) and  former member of the Chattanooga Symphony.  Other  playing experiences include the 129th Army National Guard Band, the Nashville Jazz  Orchestra (saxophone), many of the “big bands” in the Nashville-Murfreesboro area, the Tennessee Valley Winds, and most of the symphony orchestras in Tennessee and southern Kentucky. 

Jen Zimmerer - Clarinet

     Jen Zimmerer is an active teacher, performer, and clinician in the greater Nashville, TN area. Her extensive studio boasts regional and All-State ensemble participants, high honors at solo/ensemble festivals, and scholarships to top institutions in Tennessee and beyond. Mrs. Zimmerer blogs regularly about clarinet pedagogy and private teaching practices and has been featured on the International Clarinet Association blog.

 

     Jen Zimmerer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Towson University and a Master's Degree in Clarinet Performance from The Florida State University. Her principal teachers include Frank Kowalsky and Marguerite Levin. Mrs. Zimmerer resides in Nashville with her husband Frank, a high school band director, and their two cats.

Mark Morgan - Brass

   

     As a performer, arranger, and educator, Mark Morgan is enjoying a career that has taken him across North America and Europe. Mark has appeared on numerous recordings, toured with multiple Broadway musical theater shows, and has performed at some of the country's most prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,  Madison Square Garden, the Chicago Theater, and the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. Most recently, Mark completed an enlistment with the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band and has relocated to the Nashville area where he performs in a variety of ensembles as well as maintains an active teaching studio. 

 

 Mark holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Tennessee Technological University and a master's degree in jazz performance from SUNY Purchase College where he studied with jazz recording artists Ray Vega and Scott Wendholt as well as jazz trumpet legend Jon Faddis.
