Meet the RFM School Counselors!

Hello, my name is Ms. Cutliff, and I am excited about starting my first year as a school counselor here at Rocky Fork Middle School!  I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Storm Family and working with you this year!  Below, you will find additional information about myself!

In August of 2021, I graduated with my EdS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  Once I graduated from grad school, I was offered two jobs: Centerstone (mental health counseling for all age groups in Coffee County) and Ready Nest (telehealth for individuals, couples, and families navigating the journey of loss, conception, pregnancy, postpartum depression, and parenting.  After working at Centerstone for three months, I instantly knew in my gut that I wanted to advocate and support my students further than the capacity within the agency.  In January of 2022, I returned back to grad school to obtain my school counseling licensure, which will be completed by December of 2022.   In this position, I will be able to help my students academically, emotionally, socially, and mentally in order to become successful individuals as well as meet their academic/career goals.  Additionally, I am eager to work with the student’s families on finding resources and removing potential barriers to best meet their child’s needs.

In other words, I am genuinely excited to become the heart of the school and provide support in any way possible for students, families, staff, and administrators!  In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, traveling, shopping (retail therapy), and pampering with a mani/pedi or facial.

I am excited to work with you and provide support this year!  Never hesitate to reach out if need anything because I am here to help you!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Smith, and I am very excited to be joining Rocky Fork Middle School! This year starts my eighth year as a School Counselor. I began my journey with Rutherford County in 2015, at LaVergne High School, where I worked for three years. I also worked for several years at Tennessee Connections Academy, which is a public, virtual school.

My family includes my husband Lorenzo, three young adult boys and a middle-school aged daughter. We love family and our church ministry. We are originally from South Bend, Indiana, but have lived in Tennessee for the past 16 years. Before moving to Tennessee, I worked for a Crisis Pregnancy Center for 8 years. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University at South Bend. Then, I later I received a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Capella University.

I am very excited to return to Rutherford County to work with the Middles!
