Reggie Coleman - Director

Reggie Coleman serves as one of the directors of the Rocky Fork Middle School Band. Entering his fifth year teaching, he has formally taught band and choir at Smyrna Middle School and LaVergne Middle School. Mr. Coleman is from Knoxville, TN and attended Middle Tennessee State University where he studied trombone with Dr. David Loucky and music education. During his tenure at MTSU, Mr. Coleman was awarded “Rookie of the Year” and the Horace Beasley Memorial Scholarship of the Band of Blue, awarded the Joseph T. Smith Music Education Scholarship, served as the secretary for the School of Music Student Advisory Council (SOMSAC), was named Principal trombone of the MTSU Wind Ensemble, and awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Music.

Mr. Coleman’s professional memberships include MTSBOA where he serves on the Executive Board as a Middle School representative, and the coordinator of the All Mid-State Clinic events, and TMEA where he serves as the instrumental equipment coordinator for the All-State Conference. Mr. Coleman's hobbies include watching and playing basketball, playing video games, and spending time outdoors.
