First, we would like to thank you for your interest in Rocky Fork Middle School Football! We are unbelievably excited to have the opportunity to be a part of your students’ journey not only on the football field but also in their everyday lives. Our motto this season is DO MORE. We are going to challenge our student athletes to not only do more every day in practice, but also to do more in the classroom, the hallways of their school, and their community. We believe that young people who are willing to go the extra mile and pursue perfection are destined to not only be successful in the game of football but are also one day going to be great spouses, parents, and leaders in our community.

Meet The Coaching Staff:
 
Coach John Carey (Head Coach/OL/DB's) - Coach Carey has been an educator and coach for over 20 years. He began his coaching career at his alma matter, Trousdale County High School, and was most recently on staff at Donelson Christian Academy. In his years of coaching Coach Carey has been a part of staffs that have won 7 TSSAA State Championships as well as numerous region and conference titles. Coach Carey obtained his bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University.  Coach Carey has been married to his wife Kristin for 21 years and has a son (Mitchell) that will be attending the United States Coast Guard Academy in the fall, as well as a daughter (Shelby) who will be entering her sophomore year at DCA.  
 
Coach Tyler Lee (Assoc. Head Coach/QB's/LB's) - Coach Lee, a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State University is entering his first year of education. Coach Lee graduated high school from Culleoka High School where he was a standout athlete. After playing college baseball at UT Southern, Coach Lee transferred to MTSU to pursue a career in education. Coach Lee also serves as Head JV Baseball Coach and an assistant coach on the Rocky Fork Baseball staff. 
 
 
Coach Julius Fain (WR's/DB's) -Julius Fain is beginning his first year coaching at the TSSAA level. He has been a volunteer and avid supporter of the Smyrna Youth Football League for over 17 years. After attending college and starting a family, he returned to the Smyrna area. Following the pandemic, Julius decided to change his career path toward education. Twelve years after obtaining a Bachelors degree in Communication from Miles College, he attended Trevecca Nazarene University where he obtained his Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Instructional Design and Technology. Currently, he is enrolled as a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate in Instructional Design and Technology at Liberty University.

 

In transitioning to education, Julius worked as a Recruiting Coordinator for the Substitute Teachers program at Advantage xPO, a substitute teacher in elementary education, and an ancillary educational assistant for Rutherford County Schools. Julius is passionate about the development and improvement of human performance technology that impacts students, organizations, and societal systems.

 

Away from the field, Julius spends time with family and friends. He raises one son, Logan (12), and twin daughters, Gwendolyn (9) and Madolyn (9). Each attend schools in Rutherford County and participate in after school programs in the local area. Julius spends many of his afternoons with practices and games for football, tennis, volleyball, and dance. As a family, they enjoy ice cream at Janarty’s, game nights at Stars and Strikes, and corn hole at the Print Shop Restaurant

 

First coaching experience was under Coach Donnie Carter, Eddie Wisdom, Michael Fain, Donnie Carter Jr. (DJ), and Lee Carter.
